Dear Representative/Senator/Governor (whatever):

Here's why you were WRONG to enact HB 1215:

Women Will Suffer and Die

The abortion issue concerns not whether a woman with a crisis pregnancy will end it, but how. You have decided that legally and safely is "bad," and you prefer illegally and unsafely. You are thus condemning countless women to suffer and die, through forced pregnancies and/or horrific abortions.

History proves that a woman will attempt to terminate a crisis pregnancy even at grave risk to herself. Why? Because she is absolutely certain that continuing the pregnancy is the wrong thing to do, and she is the only person in any position to make that determination - not me, and not you.

The USA Is Not Supposed To Be A Theocracy

Your opinion that a woman and a fetus possess an equal right to life is a matter of faith, not fact. Freedom cannot co-exist with theocracy, the state where faith, by its very definition irrational, trumps all reason, logic, sanity and morality. It is irrefutably, undeniably un-American. I thought this country stood for freedom. (Isn't it what so many have died and sacrficed for?)

The Bible Itself Is At Odds With HB 1215

Even if this were a theocracy, you'd still be WRONG. The Judeo-Christian Bible endorses the view that : (1) "life" begins at "breath," not conception; (2) a fetus is not a human being; and (3) the life of a mother is of far greater value than any fetus. (See, e.g., Genesis 2:7, and Exodus 21:22-25.).

Nevertheless, despite all of this, you voted for coathangers.

Therefore I enclose a symbol of your compassion for your mother, your sisters, your wife, your daughters. Believe me: when the time comes, they will know exactly what to do with it.

(You wouldn't argue that a living, breathing child has any less right to life than a fetus...would you?)
